The magnolia tree in our front yard is just starting to open up.  It’s amazing how happy this sight makes me.

These little guys don’t emerge from their buds until the weather is warm.  With the greening of the grass, the yellow daffodils, and the pretty pink hyacinth blooms I am enjoying every bit of color.

It is all I can do to not sit and stare at each and every flower poking up in the yard right now.  Each one my daughter see makes her squeal with excitement, the little city-girl that she is.  I’m practically giddy for the first Farmer’s Market of the season next Saturday.  Spring is finally here in Michigan.  And spring in Michigan is so wonderful.
